Welcome to the new age, factionists

Be the change you want to see in the world.
- Gandhi

The day has finally come. Months of work, long nights without sleep, lots of tears, and lots and lots of sweat and it’s finally here. I’ve celebrated with a new site design – hope y’all like it. It’s a bit rough around the edges, still, but I’m cleaning it up by the hour.

I’m so happy to finally be here. I was told to give up, to put it off, but through your help and through sleepless nights, it’s begun.

Personally, this is a big moment in my life. I’ve always wanted to be the CEO of my own true, real company. I’ve had some little gigs before, but I wouldn’t call it a real business. But now it is. Now it’s real. My dream has become reality.

I put the Gandhi quote at the beginning of this post because I was thinking about Gandhi today, and what he meant when he said that. I think it’s so critical that he used the verb: “to be.” The quote isn’t “Think about the change,” or “Plan the change.” Be the change. Make it real. From the facts, take action.

And so, in it’s small little way, I hope that The Factionist and our clothes will inspire you or others along the same path that every social innovator and changemaker has taken – to be the living embodiment of change.

We’re here – now let’s wear the change we want to see in the world.
